Prior to the establishment of PLB (Bonded Logistics Center), industries faced several challenges, particularly regarding imported goods. After arriving at the port, there was no option but to immediately release goods while paying import duties and taxes. This situation created significant cashflow pressure for cargo owners. With PLB implementation, industries gained streamlined import options - allowing deferred import duty payments while still releasing goods from ports and storing them in PLB facilities, resulting in cost and transportation efficiencies.
