Bisnis.com, JAKARTA--PT Integrasi Logistik Cipta Solusi (ILCS) Tbk, together with the Priority Route Companies Association (APJP) and the Indonesian Bonded Logistics Center Association (PPLBI), has established a synergy for implementing the iCargo service.

This collaboration was strengthened through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during an awareness event themed 'iCargo: Value Creation to Digitize Indonesian Seaport'. The event was attended by representatives from APJP and PPLBI members.

This cooperation serves as a realization of IPC's vision to become a world-class port operator excelling in operations and services through digital solutions.

ILCS's President Director stated that iCargo is a logistics solution to simplify DO document requests for service users (Cargo Owners/Consignees and Freight Forwarders) through online channels, eliminating the need to visit shipping lines directly.

The application offers benefits including online DO document processing, with primary advantages in time and cost efficiency, reduced counter queues, avoidance of traffic congestion, and secure transactions.

This method can also reduce post-clearance time for managing cargo releases from ports. Transactions are conducted electronically using cashless payment methods.

He explained that the iCargo service is dedicated to digitizing Indonesian ports to assist logistics players, especially shipping lines. "We thank all parties who have entrusted us with implementing iCargo.

We continuously develop this service to make it beneficial and become a one-stop solution, particularly for Indonesia's port community. We hope this application facilitates smoother and better-monitored cargo flow processes," said Yusron in an official statement on Wednesday (2/8/2017).

Hermiyana, representing Tanjung Priok Type A Customs and Excise Office who attended the event, expressed support and appreciation for ILCS's digitalization initiative through iCargo.

This service is expected to accelerate post-clearance processes and potentially help reduce Indonesia's dwelling time figures and logistics costs.

"iCargo or Online DO has long been a dream and breakthrough for import-export players, especially at Tanjung Priok Port," he explained.

Meanwhile, PPLBI Chairman represented by Widiyanto stated that as Indonesia's industry grows, bonded logistics center businesses will continue expanding with technology playing a vital role.

He emphasized that iCargo provides technological implementation solutions for Bonded Logistics Centers to deliver better services meeting international standards.

APJP representative Cornelius F. Atmadjie explained during the event that businesses can now conduct port administration payments and online DO document printing.

This ensures enhanced security for DO operational processes alongside improved efficiency and effectiveness through reduced manual DO retrieval.

"Moving forward, we hope iCargo will be adopted by all integrated Terminal Operators and shipping lines," he stated.

The awareness event included product explanations and user testimonials from Shipping Line (Evergreen), Cargo Owner (Unilever), and freight forwarder (Agility) representatives.
