The iCargo application is now widely used by logistics industry players in ports. Recently, PT Integrasi Logistik Cipta Solusi Tbk (ILCS) and the Priority Route Association (APJP), along with the Indonesian Bonded Logistics Center Association (PPLBI), established synergy in implementing iCargo services.

In a statement received by VIVA.co.id on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, iCargo is a logistics solution to facilitate service users (Cargo Owner/Consignee and Freight Forwarder) in submitting DO document requests online without having to visit Shipping Lines.

ILCS President Director Yusron Hariyadi stated that the application offers benefits, including an online process that provides efficiency not only in time but also costs, reduces counter queues, avoids traffic congestion, and ensures transaction security.

"This method can also cut post-clearance time in arranging goods release from ports. Transactions are conducted electronically through cashless methods. This is dedicated to digitizing Indonesian ports to facilitate logistics players, especially shipping lines," said Yusron. Hermiyana from the Type A Tanjung Priok Customs and Excise Office added that iCargo is trusted to speed up post-clearance processes and may potentially help reduce Indonesia's Dwelling Time figures and logistics costs. Hermiyana stated that iCargo or Online DO is one of the long-awaited breakthroughs for import-export players, particularly at Tanjung Priok Port, with this initiative having been planned for a long time.

Online transactions for port administration payments and DO document printing ensure enhanced security in DO operational processes, alongside increased efficiency and effectiveness due to reduced manual DO retrieval processes.

"Moving forward, we hope iCargo can be implemented across all Terminal Operators and shipping lines integrated within this system," explained Cornelius F. Atmadjie from APJP.
